Sports News- CELEBRATING OUR 'GOLD SPORTS MARK' AWARD - ST FINIAN'S PRIMARY (2024-25)
For the EIGHTH year running (2024-25), St. Finian's has been awarded the prestigous Gold Sportsmark Award. This award rewards schools for their continued commitment and development of school sport, competition and physical education. The criterion for this award was set by Sport England and the Youth Sports Trust. It assesses PE, school sports participation, competition and sporting opportunities given to school's pupils.
The Gold award recognises those schools who show exceptional achievement, excellent participation, highly innovative schemes and outstanding progress in meeting their sporting aims. We are very proud and as a school we could not have achieved this without the children, parents, coaches and volunteers who attended and competed in all types of festivals, tournaments and competitions.

There are many fantastic opportunities for our children to play a variety of sports, attend after school sports fixtures and participate in inter-school competitions throughout the year. Here are some examples:
lunch time Sports Clubs
We offer lunchtime sports activities and clubs for children in Years 4, 5 and 6 that change throughout the seasons; indoor clubs are also provided - table tennis and dance.
